The Ashcroft is Whitworth’s community events venue, offering flexible space for weddings, parties, business events, and more.

Formerly known as The Riverside, the venue was renamed in honour of Christine Ashcroft, who played a key role in rebuilding the Civic Hall after it was destroyed by fire in 2003. Her leadership helped shape the facility into what it is today.

In 2021, The Ashcroft became part of Rossendale Leisure Trust, bringing added support and resources to ensure the venue continues to serve the local community.

We’re also home to Whitworth Town Council and continue to host events for people across the borough.
